Overview
This trip starts at Whitmore Wash (river mile 188 of 277 river miles in Grand Canyon) and runs the last 92 miles of Grand Canyon National Park, ending on Lake Mead. The four day version of this trip ends at Diamond Creek.
This very scenic trip gives you "mile deep in the earth" Grand Canyon scenery with some big Grand Canyon sized rapids. All camping and river related safety equipment is included as is plenty of fresh food and snacks; all you need to bring are your own personal effects. The trip begins with a 50 minute scenic flight from Las Vegas, NV to the Bar Ten Ranch, AZ inside the canyon. The Bar Ten Ranch is a family owned cattle ranch and lodge. Ranch activities include horseback riding, skeet shooting, a horseshoe pit and nightly western style entertainment following a hearty Dutch oven dinner. A spectacular 7 minute helicopter ride to the beach where you meet the boats. Depending on your river outfitter, you may spend one night at the ranch or you may go directly to the river to meet the boats. During the river portion of the trip you camp out on a beach in the bottom of the Canyon under a resplendent desert sky and wake to the smell of fresh brewed coffee. The trip ends with an air conditioned coach ride back to Las Vegas from your takeout on Lake Mead. All options operate similarly from Las Vegas and return.
These trips start at $1770.00 per person.
